Within Company's NCS group, our goal is to constantly push innovation to make our enterprise and service provider customer's products the highest performance and feature-rich systems on the market. As a an Intern you will be working with senior validation engineers using the latest equipment to test and characterize high speed mix signal interfaces with data rates up to 25Gbps to ensure conformance to applicable standards.
Your challenging responsibilities include:
Participate with team members in the development of lab tests to test product performance relative to industry standards.
Working with senior engineers to define tests, create test environment, and execute tests to characterize our IC products and systems Ethernet, PCIe, DDR3/4 interfaces.
Work with the team to debug and resolve complex test problems.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team environment, has a basic understanding of digital/RTL design and debug techniques. The position requires attention to detail and willingness and ability to learn quickly. Candidate must have strong problem analysis and debugging skills
Most projects are team oriented so the candidate should have strong communications skills and be able to work effectively as part of a diverse cross functional team.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar program.

3+ months of experience/coursework in:
Mixed signal and digital circuit design concepts
Basic programming concepts to enable test automation.
Typical lab test equipment, e.g. Scopes, Logic Analyzers, Signal Analyzers etc.
3+ months experience with:
High speed serial communication interface concepts and techniques.
Data networking concepts. E.g. Ethernet, Switching and Routing, TCP/IP etc
Basic programming with languages such as C, Perl, Python, and especially Linux command line and shell scripting.
High speed data communications concepts.
