OBXtek in Tysons Corner is currently seeking an HRGeneralist I that aligns business objectives with employees and management in the designated support areas of DOL compliance, employee relations, HR liaison, employee morale activities and on-boarding/out-processing in support of over 150 employees and several managers.
HR Generalist will anticipate, assess and complete HR-related tasks. He/She will seek to develop and communicate integrated solutions and formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. In addition, the HR Generalist will act as employee champion and change agent.
The HR Generalist will focus mainly on employee relations, policy and procedure development and interpretation, employee morale activities, new hire on-boarding, hiring/termination, and other human resources duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations
Coordinate on boarding and out processing for employees
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
Develop, implement and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company employees; provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation
Assist with benefits, HRIS management, and employee morale programs
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
Maintain Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from database
Perform general HR duties
