Coordinate all recruitment activities to ensure positions are filled according to state and agency policies. Screen job applications to provide hiring authority with qualified candidates for interviewing. Review interview documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal policies. Process New Employee New Hire packages and offer letters. Acts as Lead for the V-3 Certification Program. Monitor staffing matrix reports to provide VEC management with accurate and timely information. Purge recruitment files in accordance with the State Records Retention Act.
Working knowledge of principles & practices of Human Resource Administration, particularly in the area of Recruitment & Selection. Working knowledge of and experience with implementing federal & state policies and laws. Skill in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office Products. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies & regulations: to analyze data; and to present conclusions effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work as a team member with HR and non-HR staff. Prefer prior state recruitment and selection experience. Experience with the RMS and DHRM policies for Employment. Experience leading the recruitment process for an agency of the Commonwealth. Working knowledge of V3 and administration of the program at the agency level. Working knowledge of the Employment Equity Initiative. Experience successfully managing the 50 day to fill requirement.
Degree from a university or college with course work in HR Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience in a high volume recruitment environment.
Must be able to work with limited supervision.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a background investigation.
