Responsible for residential loan production of Mortgage Loan Officer Team within a specific geographic area and the selection, development, and management of assigned sales management, production and support staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise residential loan production efforts of an assigned office or area, including aspects of loan administration and administrative support, to meet production goals.
Responsible for managing revenue and expenses to ensure monthly and annual profitability goals are met. Manage branch pipeline through review and analysis of office production reports. Monitor and address branch compliance.
Monitor quality of work completed to ensure Bank customer service standards are met and adherence to regulations and Bank policies and procedures.
Responsible for compliance with all Federal, State and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination including the SAFE Act, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), their implementing regulations (Regulations G and Z), and SAFE Act registration and renewal as defined by the Bank.
Responsible for personal production and selection, development and performance of production and support staff. Manage performance on key Bank initiatives, including cross-selling and customer service surveys. Coach, mentor, and train others; teach coursework as subject matter expert. Ensure staff is up to date on required training.
Responsible for performance of solicitation and origination of all types of single-family loans, including calling on trade, taking applications, reviewing credit, and following through on closing. Attend community and real estate lending related events and establishes partnerships.
Partner with support and operations management to resolve issues and ensure overall operational efficiencies.
Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities -- knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

10 years of residential mortgage experience, including products and services, operational flow, and regulatory compliance.
3-5 years of management/leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to manage and develop others.
Strong management and recruiting skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong knowledge of mortgage lending and underwriting.
Advanced knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, policies, procedures, practices and documentation.
Strong sales skills including business development.
Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships.
Proven sales and marketing success, with track record of success in developing new clients and business through prospecting, sourcing and networking.
Extensive understanding of residential mortgage lending, mortgage product knowledge (including conventional, FHA, VA, non-confirming, Jumbo, RO, Portfolio, and state loan programs), and quality control.
Advanced experience in relationship management, business development, and sales skills.
Intermediate written and verbal communication skills with ability to regularly interact with employees at all levels including senior or executive management. Ability to train and present to small groups and large audiences.
Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as planning and organization skills, with the ability to change course (adapt) at a moment's notice.
Proficient personal computer skills and related software packages.
Must be registered as a MLO as per the S.A.F.E. Act requirements.
REGISTERED MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR (MLO)
This position requires you to act as a Bank MLO, which is defined as an individual authorized by the Bank to take mortgage loan applications, offer a mortgage, arrange a mortgage, assist a consumer in obtaining or applying to obtain a mortgage, negotiate a mortgage, otherwise obtain or make a mortgage for another person, represent to the public (through advertising or other means of communication) that such person can or will perform any of these activities, or refer a consumer to a loan originator (Note: Except those employees of the Bank who do not discuss particular credit terms available and do not refer the consumer, based on the employee's assessment of the consumer's financial characteristics to a particular Bank MLO) for compensation or gain. All MLOs will be required to register as an MLO complying with the SAFE Act requirements.
This position is authorized to act as a Bank Closed-End MLO, which is defined as any position designated to perform the activities of a Bank MLO for closed-end transactions, and thus subject to specific Truth-in-Lending Act and Regulation Z Loan Originator requirements.
