Will be located on-site at Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA.
Occasionally will travel to multiple sites once a quarter: San Diego, Palmdale, and Sunnyvale.
Responsible for ensuring contract compliance with state mandated cultural and linguistic, health education requirements.
Core responsibilities include:
Flu Shot Management
LHO & Kiosk Management
Support WIP Engagement Strategy
Weight Watchers Workshops
Support Wellness Committees and develop network of wellness champions
Assist employees with accessing Company programs
Track program value, promote /implement and manage various company-wide wellness initiatives
Assist with the development of effective communication plans
Provide services periodically to other local sites
Partner with Nurses on wellness events
Other responsibilities may include:
Assisting with the State/Region/Local Needs Assessment document and identifies/develops resources to meet health education needs.
Defining the marketing environment through development of key stakeholder criteria, identification of desirable community partners, availability of local programs and opportunities for marketing programs and services.
Promoting provider training to assure compliance with government mandated health education programs and the health education referral system.
Establishing positive relationships with community based organizations and other key partners to gain understanding of the cultural and linguistic needs of members.
Recommending health education programs based on analysis of State/Regional/Local health statistics, disease prevalence, census data, and health care service usage.
Mapping community based assets and collaborates with key stakeholders to leverage available resources for development of new and accessibility to existing health education/promotion programs.
Developing and implementing strategies that promote local health education resources and address identified member health education needs.
Requires a BA; 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Previous experience supporting and/or executing health and wellness programs strongly preferred.
