Provides standard reporting and analytical support in a GWIM Operations for one or more product areas funds transfer, collateral mgt/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. While incumbents in this position are responsible for traditional activities such as trade processing/clearance or funds transfer, their day-to-day actions are more focused on administering defined procedures, analysis and report preparation, and exception processing. Requires general understanding of operations and GWIM products. This associate's work may be subject to the review of a Supervisor or Operations Team Manager. Associates in this position will either typically possess a college degree, analytic and systems skills, basic knowledge of finance and have good communication skills; or will have worked within the Operations area for several years and have acquired an understanding of the process. Generally 2-4 years or more experience is preferred. Can also be designated as a Team Lead in this role.

Supporting Company Merrill Lynch’s Retirement Services Operations, this team is responsible for administering 401(k) plans for a large number of employers, including many Fortune 500 companies. This administration includes contribution, loan, distribution, and fund transfer processing. Team members should expect to learn the 401(k) product as well as the skills needed to build a strong foundation for a career in financial services. GWIM Operations Analysts work in a team environment, assisting internal partners to facilitate requests originated by 401(k) participants and by plan sponsors of the companies we service. GWIM Operations Analysts are responsible for:
Accurately creating and reviewing financial transactions involving stock, money market, and mutual fund trading, such as withdrawals, funds transfers, QDRO and beneficiary transactions, contributions and loan repayments.
Demonstrating a cooperative and professional work attitude, while displaying the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Basic PC and math skills
3+ years of experience in Financial Services is preferred
