This position will manage the Transition Management Team, which performs work directly related to transitioning a Financial Advisor recruit’s book of business from another contra firm into Merrill.
The Transition Management Team also supports Branch Offices when Financial Advisors leave Merrill.
The Transition Management Team Manager will manage the Transition Management Onsite, Virtual and Reverse Transition Management sub-teams.
The manager will coordinate applicable coverage and support of Merrill Wealth Management and work closely with Trading and Transfer Operations Senior Management to ensure department deliverables are met.
Enterprise Role Overview:
The purpose of the role is to support and foster the overall service strategy for Wealth Management. The associate managers a diverse team, placing focus on mentoring, coaching and training, the business support structure, problem resolution and service efficiencies. Their broader responsibilities include identifying and implementing strategic service and technology solutions, working closely with business partners across diverse business to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels, as well as vendor and project management..
Required Skills & Experience:
1+ years of experience supporting Merrill Wealth Management or working within Trading and Transfers Operations.
Ability to conduct self with patience, composure and appropriate attitude.
Ability to comprehend, empathize and respond appropriately to client needs.
Devotion of time and effort to satisfy client requests.
Ability to identify potential negative consequences of client issues and quickly take action to prevent/minimize impact to client and firm.
Ability to think analytically, using strong research skills, applying best practices and leveraging past experiences to resolve problems.
Willingness and ability to play an active role in identifying and implementing process improvements. Demonstration of a 'self-starter' attitude and a willingness to help others.
Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written), tailor communications to audience, and actively listen.
Flexibility to work in an evolving environment as automation of processes and reorganization of process flows are implemented to achieve efficiencies.
Must display the ability to multi-task, handle complex situations, and have a 'team player' attitude but able to work independently as needed.
