What You’ll Get to Do:
Responsible for Company Corp of North America (PNA) treasury / financial management, support activities and other projects in North America utilizing Company Finance operations (PFI, in house banking function). Develop and ensure implementation of financial strategies to contribute to the short-term and long-term Corporate Finance improvement in cooperation with Company Corporation (PC HQ - Japan) and other regional Company Finance entities, such as PFI-GT (Netherlands).
Financial Management and Support for Company Group Companies in North America:
Ensure group companies follow Company global treasury policy and procedures
Support group companies to realize financial solutions such as capital injection, FX hedging, cash management settlement system, PATRES system, bank account control and/or bank related products etc
Manage periodic financial reporting and accounting including journal entries of PNA PFI(US) and PNA Holding as well as Equity and Dividend control
Project regional cash position and develop counter measures as needed
Optimize loan limit and FX risk for each group company
Monitor and evaluate day-to-day financial activity outsourced to PFI-GT.
Corporate and Regional Financial Strategy:
Develop and manage the business plan (BP) of PFI-US and PNA Holding
Execute Corporate and Regional Financial Strategy collaborating with PC HQ, PFI - GT, PNA Tax and Legal
Maximize the advantages of group wide Cash centralization globally
Participate M&A due diligence, PMI and PME as needed
Maintain strategic relationship with Banks
Process Management and Compliance of Group Financial Operation:
Streamline PNA Treasury and PNA-PFI(US) function with PC HQ, PFI-GT and PNA HQ by using RPA etc.
Maintain SOX requirement in a sustainable manner
Ensure Compliance related to North American Financial operation.
Other activities / projects:
New System implementation and stabilization (TBD)
Assist Company Global IR (Investors Relations) activity as needed.
Respond to any other activities and projects requested from PC HQ, PFI - GT and PNA management.
What You’ll Bring:
Reports VP & Controller
Manages direct reports
Bilingual (Japanese / English)
BS/BA Degree in Finance or Economics or equivalent, MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of prior work experience in a Financial Institution or Corporate Finance of Global Company
Extensive knowledge of treasury functions, financial markets, domestic and international tax, law and accounting practices and regulations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills with PC HQ Japan and PNA's Top Management
Ability to communicate in Japanese is preferred
Ability to deliver concepts, practices and procedures, and negotiate with internal and external counterparties.
5-10% travel required for domestic and 2-5% for international travel
