The Graphics Driver Software Engineer will be part of RTG (Radeon Technologies Group) graphics driver engineering team, working close to the GPU Hardware and Linux kernel on multiple high-performance graphics APIs including OpenGL and Vulkan driver development for Company GPU/APU products. The position will focus on Linux but also involve development on Windows. You will develop graphics drivers for next-gen of GPU/APU hardware and support next-gen of operation systems, including SW design, development, test, debugging problems and fixing issues.
We are looking for a motivated engineer with strong expertise in software engineering and GPU technologies. You are expected to be a results driven team player and have good communication skills. Inside Company, you will cooperate with stakeholders from different component teams to develop and deliver software driver for Company GPU/APU products. Design develop and debug Company OpenGL/Vulkan driver for Linux
Design and implement features for Company’s next-gen GPU/APU
Debug and fix issues related to Android/Linux graphics/display components and services
Test drivers using test and game content and triage drive issues
Strong C/C++ programming skills including light weight data structures, efficient algorithms, bit manipulation, pointer, array, class, virtual function, etc.
Experience in software stack development of GPU driver for Android or Linux graphics/display components
Experience with software debugging and related tools such as GDB or WinDbg in both kernel & user modes is a plus
Bachelor's degree with relevant industry experience, Master’s degree or PhD is a plus
BS/MS/Ph.D degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent.
