Description
As our Designer II, you’ll design graphics for products that will be created and sold to consumers, including original concepts, selection of appropriate materials and techniques, and modifications to ensure manufacturability. You’ll elevate the consumer experience through superior graphic design, while bringing to life the seasonal category creative narrative through graphic design that is trend relevant to the category consumer.
You’ll be held accountable for using exceptional design skills to create original, innovative concepts and designs that appropriately reflect Converse designs and applications. You’ll lead design efforts within a category, or product segment, to create original graphic and/or textile concepts and designs that appropriately reflect Converse’s design ethos and which lead the industry.
You’ll need to understands and apply new technologies that bring innovation to Converse designs and applications, and effectively use computerized systems in design process.
By providing appropriate materials to designers, developers, account managers, and/ or graphic separators for creation of screen prints, embroidery, and trims. Finally, you’ll communicate and present design concepts, and produce presentation materials in conjunction with design and category teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in a design related field (foreign equivalent accepted)
• Experience with Illustration, Painting, Typography, Print Design, Screen Printing, and Color
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of InDesign and PowerPoint/Keynote are a plus.
• Knowledge of screen-printing is a plus.
• Knowledge of current trends, color, technology, and sport-related products
• Expert understanding of products, product lines, product development process, and the specific markets in which Converse does business.
• Ideally, have spent time in graphic production.
