Your Role and Responsibilities
Company's Export Regulation Office is responsible for obtaining all US export authorizations necessary to deliver Company hardware, software, technology and services worldwide (180+ countries) to both internal and external clients. We are looking for a manager to lead a team of compliance professionals responsible for establishing and enforcing corporate policy for compliance with US and non-US export regulations, trade regulations advocacy, and oversight of a transactional review process for human rights considerations. The manager will also participate in activities such as economic sanctions interpretation and compliance, corporate business development due diligence, leading internal export compliance reviews, and delivering against corporate education objectives.
As a member of the Export Regulation Office, this position will serve as a resource for Company’s global export compliance network and all employees on complying with export regulations. This involves interfacing with all areas of Company’s extensive global operations, including, but not limited to, Research, Development, Manufacturing, Services, HR, Legal, and Sales & Delivery.
The successful candidate for this position must be able to apply the regulations to current activities in the IT field, such as services, as well as forecast how export regulations will impact next generation technologies and future company initiatives such as quantum, cloud, and cognitive computing. He or she will be able to employ effective problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive analyses, lead projects, provide training, conduct reviews and interpret regulations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 10+ years experience interpreting, implementing and managing US export controls with experience leading teams or managing people.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Background in business process controls, implementation, execution or development
- Good communicator able to interact effectively with all levels of government, management or global teams and backgrounds.
- Good organization and process aptitude and experience
- Experience and/or familiarity with Company processes
