Global OEM Sales Director
Kensington is seeking a highly strategic Global OEM Sales Director with a proven track record of success in the manufacturing industry to join us in Austin, Texas This individual will join a global, multi-site business unit and be expected to drive high-level strategy plus tactical execution. The sales organization consists of country managers, regional sales managers and channel partners. The ideal candidate for this position will have sales management experience in OEM manufacturing markets and product development experience. This individual will partner with the Vice President and global regions (Europe, Canada, LATAM) to drive strategic organic growth initiatives for the business. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate progressively responsible management experience influencing the design process of our OEM partner companies to include Kensington solutions and create new solutions where there are gaps.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop the OEM sales and marketing portion of the strategic plans, focused on growth and new product activities
Maintain and secure long-term partnerships keeping Kensington slots in OEM products and migrating to the new Nano configuration.
Design strategies to win new business and execute the tactics working with direct reports and peers
Drive daily sales management via SalesForce.
Develop strategic OEM customer accounts and cultivate new business opportunities
Work with customers and engineering to develop the Product Roadmap for new products and adjacent market opportunities
Manage relations with the US outside reps and intercompany Kensington sales teams in other regions
Ensure that Sales Channel supports new product development goals of engineering & the growth objectives of the business
Support financial reporting including, weekly reporting, forecasting, budgets, and quarterly reporting requirements
Manage budget & expense
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
MBA is a plus 8-10 years experience in leading tactical and strategic sales initiatives in a manufacturing environment required
Proven experience in working with both commercial OEM sales is highly preferred
5+ year of direct people management experiences, global team management experience is strongly desired
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in CRM applications/ databases
Dependable and able to collaborate effectively to trouble-shoot for the successful completion of a project
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Solid experience in working cross-functionally and collaboratively on strategic projects with the objective of driving sales growth and productivity improvement
A strong track record of maintaining, and securing long-term partnership with OEM customers
Travel: 50% (both domestic and international)
