Company is currently recruiting for a Global Finance Data Governance Analyst (1 of 2) with a preferred location in New Brunswick, NJ. Consideration will be given to other on-site J&J locations in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, but the individual will need to be in New Brunswick, NJ at least three (3) times a week.

Data is a core strategic asset for Company Finance and a critical enabler for the function. In support of this asset, we are establishing a Global Finance Data Governance capability within our Finance Solutions &Technology organization in support of Central Finance and our broader data strategies that will allow us to sustainably benefit from the technology investments contemplated as part of the SigniFi roadmap.
An excellent opportunity has arisen within the newly formed Global Financial Data Governance Organization for two Finance Data Governance Analysts. These Finance roles will report directly to one of our Global Finance Data Stewards. The role will play a critical part in helping Global Finance to drive transformational change in the way we use our financial data.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Global Data Stewards in establishing the global data standards for our financial data dimensions, and driving the implementation, adoption and ongoing governance of these data standards, policies, and processes across the enterprise, in support of the SigniFi program deliverables. This will require the candidate to gain the relevant knowledge for the financial data set that they support to ensure they have a robust understanding of the common information model, how the data set is used, and the impact of the date set throughout the systems architecture. The role will also support the documentation and publishing of all required processes and data standards to support the operating model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Global Data Stewards in establishing global data standards for our financial data dimensions in line with SigniFi program
- Support CFIN/EPM design sessions to capture financial data requirements, and understand the data model, and supporting systems architecture
- Document global data standards into data dictionary and support ongoing review/maintenance process
- Develop master data management process flows, Desk Top Procedures (DTP’s) and Work Instructions (WI’s) to support the execution of Finance Master Data within the GS Manila hub
- Support testing of technology (CFIN/EPM/Workflow/Data Governance) to validate design activities
- Review existing finance data quality metrics and develop insights to support ongoing remediation efforts
- Support ongoing training activities of Master Data Management Team
- Support adhoc finance data related projects
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably within finance, accounting or business
- A minimum of one (1) year of finance related experience is required
- Experience working within an SAP environment is preferred
- Ability to understand impacts of finance data across business functions and business units is required
- Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced working environment
- Ability to develop strong business partnerships
- Proficiency in MS Excel including the ability to create / use of Pivot tables, V-lookups, etc. is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio is preferred
- Experience working with Finance Master Data is preferred
- Familiarity with finance data dimensions is preferred
- Experience in profiling data is preferred
- Ability to be at the New Brunswick, NJ site at least three (3) days per week is required
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and/or internationally may be required
