JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Frontend Developer II to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Office of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (OSD-CAPE) with experience relating to using modern frontend web development tools, techniques, and methods for the creation and deployment of user-facing web applications. This position is located in the Washington/Northern Virginia area.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical expertise employing modern frontend web development tools, techniques, and methods for the creation and deployment of user-facing web applications.
- Creates layouts, views, and templates from underlying data platform information and desired capabilities.
- Understands and employs version control systems.
- Capable of researching, learning and employing new programming tools and techniques as required.
- Possesses knowledge and experience using open source solutions and communities.
- Uses and works in team environments to develop and deploy frontend solutions and required modifications.
- May supervise lower category frontend developers.
THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED
- SECRET clearance or higher
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or software development-related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3-years’ experience performing frontend development tasks
- Capable communicator both verbally and in writing
- Expert in utilizing Microsoft tools including MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be US Citizen
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED
- Experience working with DoD or US Army programs
- Experience operating in NIPR environments
- Experience leading / managing like programs
