Assist in managing the Front-End Department by directing, ordering materials and supplies, and implementing merchandising initiatives to stimulate growth of the business while meeting customer requirements and maximizing profits.

Asst. the Front End Manager with scheduling employees, delegating work assignments, directing the customer flow and controlling department costs to ensure store, department and customer requirments are met.
Audit cash controls according to established procedures to identify and prevent cash losses.
Monitor inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering cigarettes, gum, candy, newspapers, magazines and supplies to meet customer requirments and maximize profits.
Maintain a safe and clean enviorment to ensure health and OSHA requirments are met.
Maintain accurate department records to ensure documentation of activities is available.
Ensure that proper procedures are being followed so that the store meets out-of-stock percentage goal.
Promote the continuous development of employees and identify candidates for Management Advancement Process.
Adhere to all company initiatives including GEBS and 5-S.
Participate in the onboarding and training of hew hires including interviews and orientation.
Administer Team Member performance appraisals.
Have total store responsibility in absence of the Store Manager.
Responsible for controlling some expense within a department.
Supervision of team members in one department
Education and Training Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Education and Training Desired
Bachelors Degree Retail Management, Business Administration or similar
Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation
Successful performance as a Peer Trainer or other similar role
Successful performance as an in-store champion (e.g., safety, service, wellness) or similar role
Demonstrated product knowledge relevant to department
Satisfactory performance and discipline record
Retail leadership or supervisory experience
At least 18 years of age
