Pay Rate: $12.50 + .40 shift premium
Purpose of Position:
The primary function of this position is to receive finished goods from production and store in freezers. It is also required to store the finished goods product in a holding freezer, load finished goods into trailers with a Forklift, power jack or pallet jack ensuring GMP and quality standards are met to maintain an efficient flow of the production process. Housekeeping and sanitation duties included are transferring of inedible and trash into appropriate containers, cleaning of equipment, storage of chemicals and sanitation equipment, movement of pallets and cleaning of grounds.
Essential Job Functions:
Locate open location in the warehouse, cooler, freezer and transport the pallets to the proper location as required
Rotate goods in the warehouse; perform inventory counts and double stack pallets of supplies as required
Perform general housekeeping duties in work area and on the forklift and charge battery on forklift as needed. Clean warehouse areas and loading docks, which may include dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing floors and drains
Hand stack materials on pallets when needed. Monitor the unloading of bulk products as required
Check production schedule and stage raw materials in freezer, cooler and production staging areas for next day’s production. Transfer supplies, tortillas, and ingredients to production as needed
Open loading dock doors, set dock plate in place and prepare the area to receive materials and supplies from tractor/trailers
Transfer inedible and trash into appropriate container, which include inedible bin, trash compactor and bailer. Clean and inspect inedible dumper and any inedible containers (grey and red). Wash around inedible bin, trash compactor, utility area, bin storage location and raw receiving dock. Move pallets and empty drums to warehouse receiving area. Clean all exterior drains. Empty and all exterior trash cans
Take inventory of chemicals. Transfer sanitation equipment and chemicals in/out of designated storage areas. Transfer supplies from storage areas into RTE and Raw areas of the plant
Obtain work schedule from supervisor, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations
At the end of the shift clean and secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork
Must have at least 6 months recent experience operating forklifts, power jacks and pallets jacks
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and the safety regulations
Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job
Must be able to perform all job functions safely
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be able to follow instructions
Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
