The primary role of the Marketing and Recruiting Assistant will be to assist in creative efforts to produce, develop, and execute engaging visual content. This will be to effectively promote the Army West Point Football Team and to engage recruits and fans through photography, videos, and graphic designs. The Marketing and Recruiting Assistant should remain well versed with current trends in social media, opportunities for recruiting, and up to date with new graphic programs. This role will also aid in administrative support related to recruiting, including, but not limited to, assisting with travel itineraries, data entry of prospect information, and management of evaluations for prospective players. Duties also include assisting in the overall planning and execution of official and unofficial visits that occur on football gamedays and year-round.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University is required, Master’s degree is preferred. Ideal candidates will possess at least 2 years of experience working with an intercollegiate athletics department, professional sports organization, or other elite sporting institution. Applicants should be very familiar with a variety of social media platforms, and knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Suite is strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of Company Division I recruiting is also highly desirable. The ability to work collaboratively with coaches, players, and staff is crucial. Competency in planning and executing social media strategy within the United States Military Academy and Athletic Department guidelines is key.
