The Financial Systems Manager (Project Hire) will provide leadership in support of a project with new Front of the House applications, including detail requirements, review of financial controls, SAP account coding and reconciliations, reporting needs testing, issues resolution, and partnership with internal clients to develop and execute best-practices for DPEP Segment. The role also includes review and support of integration with the standard payment platform processes and an opportunity to identify efficiencies within and across processes. This role is in the Financial Systems Enterprise organization and will require accounting background to understand the financial impacts from requested changes and issue resolution. From finance perspective, the goal is to ensure financial transaction integrity and related controls while also partnering closely with operations and stakeholders across the Enterprise to achieve best practice solutions and efficiencies.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with the financial processes associated with the Front of the House and supporting systems (e.g.,POS, SAP, etc.) and with projects at the Segment or Business Unit level. This candidate should be familiar with current best practices and new technological trends to enhance the effectiveness of the transaction processing, reconciliation, reporting and revenue recognition.
This person will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Systems OTC
Drives long term strategy for Financial Systems and related processes
Implements strategic plans participating in the selection of methods, tools, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Leverages synergy opportunities across functions and businesses
Makes sound business decisions that balance competing priorities
Serves as strategic business planning partner working with business units (within each Segment and across Enterprise) and IT to formulate enhancement options to address specific functional issues / requirements
Develops Strategy for obtaining/Analyzing metrics to identify trends, process/system opportunities and recommends corrective action
Recommends and implements process improvement/reengineering initiatives
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of business specific objectives
Manages multiple complex projects for OTC area.
Leads the design, resource management, implementation of projects and process improvements for Segment and the Enterprise
◦ Effectively communicates with management, stakeholders, subject matter experts and project team members.
◦ Assists in developing project infrastructure for team (i.e. templates, project management methodology and execution)
◦ Develops project plans with specific goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allotment of resources for each phase of project
◦ Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule
◦ Identify and address change impacts in the training and communication plans
Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges
Works with team to lead in resolution of day-to-day technical/procedural challenges.
Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectives

Applies expert knowledge and understanding of financial and US GAAP accounting principles to our systems and business processes
Proactively identifies issues (data or process) and ensures appropriate action is taken to resolve issues and communications are sent to keep end user audiences informed and updated
Manages the strategy for end user support and training. This includes request management (incidents/system enhancements) and training (standard materials, course design and delivery)
Leads the development and execution of communication plans outlining goals, key audiences/ stakeholders, objectives, recommended channels, and metrics for success and timelines.
Deliver consistent, timely and relevant internal communications and trainings to client base
Collaborates and solves problems – works with others to resolve significant issues, clarify or interpret complex information, provide initial screening/negotiations.
Maintains communications with both internal and external contacts
Communicates with finance managers at the same or higher levels on matters of considerable complexity
Concisely develops and delivers key information; ability to develop well laid out presentations
Develops logical and persuasive approach and outline for a presentation; knows how to vary format, structure and content to suit various audiences
Conveys relevant information in timely and concise manner
Minimum of 7- 10 years of demonstrated high-level professional knowledge and skills in finance and/or supply chain systems and processes.
Minimum of 7 - 10 years leading change management efforts at the Enterprise, Segment and Business Unit levels of the organization
Minimum 3 years (preferred) of staff management experience
Experience working for large company and within a matrix organization
Passion for and knowledge of emerging technologies to deliver best practice solutions ensuring financial systems integrity and controls
Expert knowledge/experience in Financial Systems and/or Systems area for business and technical audiences
Experience leading and championing change for large projects that encompass front of house and back of house finance/accounting and integration to SAP ensuring financial integrity
Demonstrate multi-tasking and project management skills to manage workload from logistics to strategic efforts, while adhering to deadlines and high quality.
Experienced in using the Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to employ various styles, formats and voices clearly, consistently and creatively.
Ability to develop a logical and persuasive approach and outline for a “deck”, knowing how to vary format, structure, and content to suit various audiences
Ability to understand and adapt to different audiences and clients, their needs and potential reactions to communications and ideas.
Demonstrated ability to build credibility with internal clients and to navigate organizational structures.
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
Ability to maintain an objective financial perspective and understand the broader implications to the company

Experience in using SAP or another ERP
Experience in using Business Objects or other reporting tools
CPA or CMA license, or equivalent
PMP or other professional project management certification
Six Sigma certification
Ability to demonstrate a strong business acumen
Experience implementing financial processes and systems
Experience using systems designed to manage issues, changes and testing (e.g. Service Manager, Rational Team Concert, ALM)
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience

Graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance
