Job Title: Financial Analyst - Treasury
What you'll do:
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for much of the day-to-day support for the Treasury Department, including: 1) the settlement and accounting of securities; 2) daily liquidity monitoring and management insuring that there are always adequate funds available so the bank is not required to borrow from the FED discount window; 3) collateral management for secured deposits; 4) Treasury daily wires exceeding several hundred million dollars; and 5) management reporting. The position must have a board understanding of the overall workings of the Treasury Department.
What we are looking for:
Responsible for the settlement of all securities transactions including wiring funds for payment, entering trades into InTrader (securities trading platform) and closing out all trade package documentation and filing.
Preparing daily liquidity monitoring reports for the Treasurer. Monitoring the liquidity of the bank throughout the day and notifying Treasury staff of any potential cash shortfalls beyond target cash balances. Managing cash balances at correspondent banks and borrowing or settling existing borrowings with the Federal Home Loan Bank.
Collateral management for all secured deposits including public funds, customer repurchase agreements and bankruptcy accounts. Includes movement of collateral and pledging with safekeeping agents, daily, monthly and quarterly reporting to state and federal agencies. Liaison with Treasury Management personnel on new deposit relationships.
Prepare and process all Treasury wires including wires for securities settlements; debt and trups interest payments; correspondent banking clearing wires for FX trades and third party accounts; wires for sweep account clearings, wires for brokered CD settlements; inter-company wires among others.
Supports the Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer with management reporting on liquidity, preparing ALCO presentations, preparation of board presentations and other ad hoc reports for management.
4 year degree is required. Degree in Finance or Accounting is highly preferred
Advanced excel skills
Comfortable compiling and reporting data.
Advance written and spoken communication skills
