Manager, Financials - What this job involves
The Manager, Financials will be responsible accounts payable activities in a high volume, energized environment.
Enter invoices in order to ensure vendor payment obligations are met in a timely and consistent manner
Responsible for direct supervision of the accounts payable staff that is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices
Ensure proper system setup and alignment with finance department goals.
Assign work, solve workload problems and ensure high productivity levels.
Provide each A/P Specialist with the proper training, job skills, and job knowledge necessary.
Track Accounts Payable performance using Key Performance Indicators, such as:
◦ Check count
◦ Invoices entered
◦ Invoices paid
◦ Percentage of Error
Coordinate with accounting department on the completion of quarterly audit schedules.
Assist in the preparation of analysis and dashboard reporting for leaders.
Maintain internal control processes and standards and ensure the compliance of the group.
Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.
Leads work and is accountable for success of large projects.

BS in Accounting or related focus area
Demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PeopleSoft
4-6 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting role(s)
Skills & Knowledge
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
Unquestionable technical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Positive attitude and the ability to quickly respond to co-workers and clients
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
A highly motivated self-starter who works well independently
Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills
