Glamour is seeking an extraordinary leader to produce and manage ground breaking, innovative video content on Company website and all other digital platforms. This critical member of the team will partner with Glamour’s Editor in Chief, Executive Digital Director, editors, the management team, and key corporate stakeholders to develop and execute the strategic vision and direction of the Glamour video strategy and find new ways of engaging audiences cross platforms, including events.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute an ambitious plan for Glamour video, on YouTube and other digital outlets, on Company website, and at events.
• Recruit directors, producers, and talent to elevate Glamour’s presence in video with emphasis on fashion, beauty, women’s lives and celebrity.
• Oversee originally produced YouTube series, cover videos, short films, Glamour’s annual Women of the Year event tribute videos, as well as videos at other key events and initiatives.
• Serve as team lead and main contact on all aspects of production for projects as assigned.
• Work with internal research team to conduct regular health checks on current shows and make recommendations on what the implications of the data are for communications, marketing, production, future programming, etc.
• Serve as chief liaison between Company Entertainment, Glamour video, and the rest of the Glamour team.
• Review, edit, and approve preliminary and final treatments, outlines, shooting scripts, scripts, casting, production schedules, selects, budgets, images, music, rough cuts, fine cuts, and final versions of all assigned programs.
• Participate in brainstorming meetings with advertisers.
• Manage multiple outside production companies on multiple projects simultaneously, and in coordination with internal departments, ensure timely, effective and on-budget development, production and delivery of projects.
Requirements:
• Substantial experience producing and developing series on various platforms.
• Best in class leadership and communication skills when developing and producing projects.
• A strong history of creating and executing a wide range of formats in the fashion, beauty, celebrity and women’s nonfiction space.
• A knack for generating strong creative ideas, preferably also quickly when in critical meetings with clients or key stakeholders.
• A demonstrated track record in creative execution and ratings performance.
• Experience managing a slate of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated aptitude to work closely with external producers to represent the channel needs.
• Strong experience recruiting talented directors, writers and production companies.
• Extraordinary organizational and interpersonal skills.
