The primary role of the Americas SC Tech Leader is to build strategic technology plans for the Americas region, leveraging the right combination of regional and global technologies. The position will be the link between the Global IT Supply Chain team and the regional supply chain leadership. Always balancing global vs local priorities, the successful candidate will know how to move driving the global strategic agenda, adopting it to the specific of the regions.
In addition, this position will lead solutioning regional and local process across multiple process areas: Planning; Operations, Procurement, Distribution, Quality and New Product Launch.
This role will be a key technology advisor to the SVP Supply Chain Americas and VP Supply Chain LATAM and innovation and be part of his/her staff to drive business outcomes through technology. This is a true business partner role requiring a point of view and the ability to make proactive recommendations
The candidate will ensure we guide and recommend the technology solutions following the key IT Functional principles
This position is based in New York City and reports into the VP Global Supply Chain Tech Leader with a matrix relationship to the SVP Supply Chain NA and VP Supply Chain LATAM
•Act as the primary point of contact and technology business partner to both Americas Supply Chain Functional leadership and delivers value by shaping and informing the business strategy, defining capabilities required to achieve the strategy and bringing forth recommended technology solutions to enable these capabilities.
•Accountable for the Americas Supply Chain Technology portfolio and ensuring is fully integrated with the global Supply Chain Technology Portfolo. This includes running regular portfolio planning and progress updates with the Supply Chain Operations team. Driving the development of business cases and representing the function in IT Alignment sessions. Ultimately accountable for Technology Investment funds (budget 10MM+).
•Leads a regional that is accountable for all technology solutioning for the Americas Supply Chain Function and is accountable for innovative, strategic business solutions. These solutions are consistent with corporate strategic objectives and ensure that the function can support the needs of the growing business.
•Work collaboratively across the IT organization to ensure all technology services needs are identified in a timely way and communicated, planned and budgeted effectively. Must effectively communicate and collaborate with Brand and Region Technology teams.
•Builds teams (Pods) who oversee and manage IT governance and IT portfolio management for Americas SC IT. Ensure the realization of the business strategies through technology and continued process improvements. Align tightly with the BIA organization and collaborate to ensure excellent information flow and availability to enable the best data driven, consumer connected enterprise.
•Ensures the strategic agenda is serviced by strong data and analytic services including data science, analytic productionalizing and ongoing support.
•Coordinate with technology providers to evaluate new and innovative technologies and service offerings. Responsible for the teams who develop business requirements, coordinates with enterprise architects (enterprise, solution, information….) to ensure new services and solutions align with roadmaps.

•Drive an Agile mindset and delivery culture throughout the business function, advocating speed and agility and act as a change agent within the function for Agile adoption.

•Act as a Functional Technology Leader – demonstrating outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, ability influence and provide technology thought leadership to the Americas Supply Chain leadership and act as a trusted advisor
•Highly collaborative relationship building skills with various internal and external stakeholders – ensuring regional priorities are adequately represented in front of global IT and supply chain teams
•Must demonstrate a high sense of urgency to influence changes and drive outcomes from conception to delivery
•Effective business communicator, with high emotional quotient and excellent executive presence. Candidate should be an effective story-teller and be able to swiftly align and mobilize disparate teams by setting a vision common goal
•Ability to influence global teams to ensure the Americas Supply Chain priorities are prioritized and regional differences understood
•Experience and demonstrated success leading and delivering large, global transformation programs enabled by technology. Extensive implementation experience in core technologies such as SAP, WES, WMS, reverse logistics, planningand procurement systems is important.
•Expertise in application design/architecture, integration architecture development, enterprise application integration, and integration technologies solutions and standards.
•Demonstrates technical domain experience and expertise in a number of key areas: Customer Service, Order Management, Manufacturing systems and Distribution and logistics
•Drive outstanding insights and innovative game-changing opportunities through data science and analytics.
•Competent in new technology evaluation, ability to support technical change management and provide thought leadership skills in integration technologies, tools and services
•Ideally have demonstrated relationships with best in class software vendors including cloud and platform vendors
•Solid understanding of supply chain processes End to End (Plan, Source, Make, Distribute, Quality)
•Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities. Experience in using data and data science to drive quantitative analysis and break-through outcomes.
•Intense focus on business outcomes, demonstrating the ability to have material impacts on core business measures: e.g.: Inventory; Order Fill Rate, Forecast Accuracy; Attainment; Fill Rate, Asset Utilization; Cost Optimization
•Continuously is learning and is curious. Keeps abreast of best in class supply chain practices and is familiar with the competitive practices and technologies.
•High proficiency in supply chain fundamentals, ideally having held a line operations position on the functional side, such as advanced planning, Inventory optimization and fulfillment or supply chain analytics is a plus
•Experience in working across the entire region and understanding the differences between the markets: specially, Brazil, Mexico, US and Canada
