This senior software engineering lead will engage and improve the whole lifecycle of services – from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement – all while scaling through automation and evolving systems by pushing change that improves reliability and velocity. The core responsibilities are lead and hands-on designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software tooling/solutions and designing and implementing automated deployment strategies that scale with the business. The successful candidate will be able to research, design and apply advanced security techniques while managing individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables. Experience mentoring junior or less experienced software engineers is highly desirable.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Mastery of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Command of architecture, design and business processes
Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
Significant Java software engineering experience to include implementation of highly scalable systems, release management, software configuration, design, development and implementation is required
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines is required. Experience in a lead or mentorship capacity is helpful
Should be well versed in various operating systems like Linux, Windows, Mac and/or CentOS and be knowledgeable of at least one public cloud service - Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS Azure, Google Cloud…
Preferred qualifications: Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, or Open Container Initiative (OCI); CI/CD experience utilizing tools such as Github, Terraform, Jenkins, etc and practical exposure with automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet; knowledge of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats & vulnerabilities, including IR methodologies; experience in either threat intelligence, application security, cryptography, or endpoint security
