Efficiently and safely packs product into appropriate shipping containers.
Includes the following essential functions and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned by management based on business needs.
Pack finished product into appropriate boxes or shipping containers.
Neatly stack finished boxes/products on pallets.
Record accurately on forms/work orders.
Communicate with Team Leaders and Leads regarding any problems or potential issues.
Maintain an organized and neat workstation.
Follow all safety regulations and good manufacturing practices at all times.
Clean equipment as needed.
Assist in packaging bulk or individual packages as needed.
Supply handwork assembly lines with correct finished goods by reading bill of materials/ “outbound advice” and matching item count, code date and accurately adjusting warehouse locator card.
Supply lines with correct assembly components by reading bills of materials.
Maintain home spots with components and return unused components to correct storage when jobs are complete.
Communicate any discrepancies when items supplied do not or cannot match the bill of materials, and when item transfers to handwork are required, to the handwork assistant supervisor or lead.
Check the paperwork for accuracy on finished skids.
Move finished skids to warehouse area.
Maintain forklift and floor jacks.
May assist in working production or processing departments as needed.
Report unsafe conditions or work-related accidents to Team Leader, Manufacturing Manager or Safety Manager.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Job Requirements:

High School diploma or GED: or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but not uninvolved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
