Company is seeking an entry-level engineer to be based in Portland, OR. This person will be seconded to the Port of Portland and be stationed on site at the Port of Portland offices. This person will support various Port of Portland projects.
As an entry-level engineer, your responsibilities may include:
Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design
Site inspection, investigation and monitoring
Design calculation, computation using formula and preparation of calculations
Review, assistance and modification of reports, specifications and studies
To be considered for this entry-level position, you will be pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering. You should be able to demonstrate your interest in your chosen sector through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules or previous work experience.
We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:
Methodical approach to problem solving.
Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail and ability to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing.
