The Demand Planner will collaborate with Sales Representatives & Country Managers to build & maintain seasonal plans based on strong data analysis that will drive sales for Company and accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Own and actively manage e-commerce demand segment: forecast demand and ensure forecast is protected, release aging inventory as necessary
• Lead the inventory chase efforts to deliver on inventory health metrics and overall customer experience
• Bridge the gap between merchant vision and e-commerce execution
• Analyze sales trends and excess opportunities and react accordingly
• Setting up sales budgets and margin targets in collaboration with Finance Department and the Head of E Commerce
• Proactively plan out product needs and optimize inventory levels before they become shortages in order to provide best customer experience.
• Provide feedback on assortment plans by partnering with the U.S. Ecommerce planning team, and regional merchandising teams
• Oversee annual content calendar in collaboration with Content Merchandiser
• Lead weekly reporting efforts by creating and managing a dashboard measurement tool
• Implement a scalable inventory process for Europe, ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time
• Using sell through data give clear direction to the content merchandiser on how and where to sell across all the EU web sites
• Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure alignment on all related efforts. Vet each opportunity presented to ensure inventory levels available to support.
Critical Skills/Experiences/Attributes: Inventory Planner
• Demonstrated track record of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills to facilitate data analysis and critical problem solving
• 2+ years proven experience working within a forecasting systems
• Experience in working in a busy e commerce environment and being able to demonstrate flexibility when plans change
• Demonstrated fluency in reporting tools including the ability to successfully mine data, create ad hoc reporting and analyze to drive key business decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to tailor message to all levels in the business, including delivering clear and concise presentations
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, utilize resources effectively and drive for results in a fast paced, growth environment
• Strong knowledge and experience of the problem solving process and its application in addressing critical business issues
• Established ability to build and maintain effective working relationships to drive collaboration, teamwork and business results.
Education, experience or other requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year university
• 2+ years eCommerce planning experience
• SAP and BW experience (preferred)
• Planning system experience preferred (APO, 7th On-line, Logility)
• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
