Company CSTC Psychiatric Child Care Counselor 2

The Child Study & Treatment Center (CSTC) has opportunities for Psychiatric Child Care Counselor 2 to join our team. This position is to focus on scheduling and training scheduling.
Some of what you'll be doing:
Provide mentorship and situational counseling to adolescent and pre-adolescent children on the cottages
Assign and monitor the work of Psychiatric Child Care Counselor's
Train and monitor staff performance and provides feedback to supervisor
Ensure logs, charting, Incident reports and forms are completed correctly
Monitor staff attendance
Facilitate the development of social skills, problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as assist the child with activities of daily living
Implement age appropriate and developmentally appropriate interventions based upon the current treatment plan
Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic milieu in which patients will receive treatment and implement the cottage program and individualized behavioral plans
Encourage, supervise and participate with patients in a group or individual recreation, social, and therapeutic activities
What we're looking for:
Effectively work with children and adolescent patients, families, other health care workers and community contacts
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written direction, including those given over a hand held radio
Maintaining a safe, comfortable and therapeutic milieu in which patients will receive treatment
Who should apply?
Professionals with a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in social sciences, education, recreation, psychology or related field and one year of social service experience
Two years work experience as a Psychiatric Child Care Counselor 1
