Job Profile
The Director, Strategy & Business Development will be responsible for setting and executing Company Public Sector business development strategy for government and aerospace accounts. This executive will assume leadership of a growing public sector organization to help drive large, complex enterprise deal transactions. The ideal candidate will be a successful senior sales management background with capability of easily connecting with C-Level agency leadership across Public Sector Federal Civilian Agencies and experience of selling in a cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
• Set and execute aggressive customer acquisition strategies for Federal Civilian Agencies
• Provide detailed business development strategy focused on the top government executives
• Manage overall business development process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management
• Plan and manage at both the strategic, operational and tactical customer facing levels
• Align with Strategic Account Executives, industry leads, and regional sales leadership teams to present a single front to help represent a single vision for our customers.
• Interface with the product development and marketing organizations to help guide Public Sector product direction and production of sales plays
• Lead initiatives to ensure the continued development of C-Level customer strategic partner talent in the organization, and constantly focus on the addition of 'A' players into the team
Required Skills/Experience:
• 1st or 2nd line sales leadership experience in enterprise strategic sales in a highly matrixed, global organization
• Extensive experience selling enterprise IT solutions technology in the cloud
• Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goal
• 10+ years in enterprise SaaS and/or software sales, selling primarily to the CxO level
• Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal and reference-able customers
• Strong operational and analytical abilities
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
