The Product Planning and Operations group manages the overall roadmap for Company's Technology & Product pipeline. This group works extremely closely with all business units across Company to ensure alignment in priorities and dependencies to achieve divisional targets. The Product Planning and Operations team will partner with the Product Development teams (incl. User Experience and Engineering) to align opportunities with operational realities and develop detail plans to maximize ROI potential for each program/project.
This team will establish unified processes for planning, implementation and delivery of projects across T&P, measure their success, and optimize where appropriate.
The Director, Product Planning & Operations will have the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
• Organize and manage the full life-cycle of T&P's strategic roadmap by partnering with cross-functional business leads, including product development (incl. UX and Engineering), content acquisition, programming, business development, audience management and finance to ensure timely delivery of strategic programs.
• Lead and direct select large programs and initiatives in support of Company's strategic objectives.
• Manage the ongoing review/approval of program priorities within the portfolio to ensure the highest priority programs are getting the necessary attention and resources.
• Become a change agent to implement new product development processes/governance structures as necessary across T&P.
• Communicate effectively and regularly on program status and relevant issues/risks to executives and key business stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain a tight working partnership with business owners, executive, key stakeholders and program teams to rationalize business priorities, requirements and timelines and to facilitate successful implementation.
• Establish and manage to project quality and success metrics as defined in conjunction with business owners and stakeholders.
• Continuously monitor development process and proactively work to identify and resolve issues within the projects and across programs.
• Maintain a working knowledge of T&P's products, technologies, applications, customers, and reporting capabilities.
• Have a strategic view of what is important.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a commitment to delivering great customer experiences on time and in scope. The position requires someone who is highly organized and focused on delivery in a fast pace-environment. Must have a can-do attitude and have the ability to deliver solutions and influence partners to achieve targets
• Minimum 7-10 years professional experience, preferably in the consumer product industry
• 5-7 years of project/program management experience
• Strong attention to detail, project management, problem solving and organizational skills
• Thorough understanding of product development concepts, practices, and lifecycles; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment
• Strong Problem Solving Skills
• Passion for working within a team environment outgoing personality preferred
• Display strong leadership skills to either directly lead or influence the work of others establishes strong interpersonal relationships.
• Proactive self-starter with a strong initiative and ability to get things done
• Strong analytical skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Bachelor's degree required
