Director, Plant Leader ECR Operations
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Responsible for all supply chain and industrial operations activities related to the Bothell site ECR Operations. The position is responsible for leading the industrial strategies supporting the ECR business team operational execution in line with key performance targets in Safety, Quality & Compliance, Customer Delivery, Productivity and Inventory.
You are responsible for:
Leads the Operational performance of the ECR business Bothell site operations ensuring key performance metrics are identified and successfully managed and met.
Leads all Operational activities, related processes and staff in the development and execution of a high-performing operational team;
Understands the key market needs of the business and ensures the design and execution of the Operations meets these needs.
Key member of ECR Operations leadership team and will partner with cross functional BIU leadership to deliver on ECR short and long term strategy
Develops programs, projects, goals and metrics for the Operations organization leading to the appropriate level of operational performance, Inventory Optimization; Indirect effectiveness & efficiency; Assurance of Supply improvements ultimately reducing number of supply issues to the market
Identify areas of collaboration with broader medical device Supply Chain organization, work closely to maximize leverage and improve business results;
Works closely with the ECR Operations’ leadership team to fully and successfully incorporate the industrial operations into ECR strategic roadmap.
Support central team on defining Core/ Non-Core / AME strategy: Roadmap/AME
Prepares multi-year industrial operation and investment plans which are aligned to the corresponding NPI (new product introduction) R&D programs.
Executes on plans to continuously address and reduce costs, drives continuous productivity improvements, thus resulting in delivering Operations Productivity Savings.
Ensures timely delivery of high-quality products to ECR key markets.
Maintain commitment to environmental, quality and medical compliance regulations; Safety TRCR
Supervises, selects, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient industrial operations
Build capabilities on Company Excellence Practices: Awareness and Lean Foundation; Lean Deployment Maturity
Ensures a “low-cost, high quality” mentality is considered in all Supply Chain/Operations activities;
External Audit findings Zero Observations; Improve CAPAs closed on time; Improve Cost of non-quality

Emergency Care and Resuscitation Operations
Position reports directly to 02C Head of Operations and second reporting line to ECR BIU General Manager
Position works collaboratively with the following ECR functional areas: Director, Logistics, Director, Global Order Fulfillment and Planning, Procurement engineering & Supplier Quality function
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
In-depth understanding of and acting upon the critical success factors in Industrial Operations, R&D and Supply Chain Management
Advanced experience in managing a manufacturing operation.
Experience working within the medical regulated environment is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of industrial management techniques to ensure effective integration of all areas directed.
Strong affinity with LEAN concepts practices and demonstrated success
Awareness of the Sector or Corporate policies and priorities in order to identify production implications & opportunities.
Ability to retool and redesign production to meet the changing needs of the business / customers.
Bachelor/Master of Science degree in a technical or business field. MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience in project management operations management and supply chain.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across functions and organizations, especially with R&D, Q&R and PMO
Proven track record of working successfully in a multi-national environment, good cross-cultural working experience
Proven strategic and systems thinking skills
Excellent leadership, communication, teamwork, mentoring, coaching and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a large organization with complex and changing boundaries as well as external regulatory constraints and requirements.
Demonstrated ability to provide development opportunities for key members of team
Strong knowledge and familiarity with external market, including customer needs, supply base, and best practices in industry
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques and methodologies
Travel will be required, expected to be less than 20%
