The primary objective of this role is to provide leadership in proactively protecting the organization’s assets (people, property, brand and proprietary information.) This position is responsible for assigned corporate security, protection of assets, and safety initiatives and programs for the Company Group enterprise.
Develops and executes strategies, procedures, and controls protecting people, property, information and brands. Works closely with the Chief Security Officer, the security-safety leadership team, law enforcement/government agencies, and other stakeholders to build comprehensive and effective programs and initiatives.
Leads and develops in-house and third party security-safety teams to ensure workplace safety, protect the company and reduce liability and loss. Supervises managers and individual contributors in multiple business environments. Maintains and executes a training and development plan to ensure the entire team is trained, engaged, effective, and consistent with company standards.
Develops a thorough understanding of risk for each facility/operation and works with stakeholders to address risks appropriately. Utilizes a standardized and consistent Risk Assessment methodology.
Develops and maintains a method for identifying risks, hazards and threats that are foreseeable and engaging the teams in preparatory activities. Ensures emergency and security response protocols/practices are adequate for assigned facilities.
Ensures proper protection, management, disposal of physical information. Ensures proper steps are taken to protect highly sensitive information (e.g., trade secrets, research and development, prototypes, etc.).
Specifies and oversees design, sourcing, deployment and maintenance of security and safety control systems for designated business units (e.g., CCTV, alarms, badge access, etc.) and the procedures that go with them.
Supports and leads investigations involving Outfitter conduct/insider behavior (in conjunction with HR) and crimes/actions committed against the business by outside or unknown parties. Ensures investigative protocols are properly followed and monitors for consistency and brand representation in how investigations are conducted and resolved. Liaise with law enforcement or other authorities as appropriate.
Provides executive protection services for leadership and dignitaries, manages protective intelligence and analysis program, and conducts threat investigations.
Manages insider trust controls, vetting, and protections.
Manages travel security/safety program and aviation security program.
Provides additional security and safety leadership and support for other company needs or assignments as appropriate at the direction of the Chief Security Officer.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related degree program.
Certificate(s) or License(s): Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Physical Security Professional (PSP); Certified Threat Manager (CTM)
Experience: 10+ years security, safety or law enforcement experience or related field
Additional Preferred Experience: 15+ years in multiple security/safety disciplines and environments (e.g., executive protection, threat analysis, protective/risk intelligence, security solution design, workplace violence programs, etc.).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in executive protection and threat management
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in investigative practices
Knowledge and experience in global security practices
Knowledge of and skill in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word,
Travel globally as required (mostly US and Canada)
Valid US Passport required
