Its media brands include Government Executive, Nextgov, Defense One and Route Fifty, all of which hold market-leading positions and have fast-growing audiences. GEMG produces 4 editorial websites, over 75 events each year, and has exceptional capabilities in research and marketing services.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, data-driven, and digital-savvy marketer to grow our brands with our audience as the Director of Growth Strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Own the growth for our brands by developing and executing innovative strategies to reach our target audiences
• Be a thought leader and creative partner for our editorial and development teams to grow our audiences and traffic across platforms
• Create partnerships to reach new audiences in a shifting digital media landscape
• Manage a growing audience marketing team to deliver against client deadlines
• Passionately make data-driven decisions to consistently grow our audience database and traffic
Characteristics of the ideal candidate:
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
• Be data-driven and a creative problem-solver
• Entrepreneurial spirit, track record of initiative, and ownership of work
• Creativity and a high degree of organization skills
• Proven track record in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing experience highly preferred
• Interest in national affairs, politics, business and government
• Bachelor’s degree required with 4-6 years experience in marketing or relevant data-driven field
