The Director, Enrollment Marketing & Communications plans, coordinates, and manages marketing and communication initiatives for Enrollment Management.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
Five years of professional, full-time experience in direct marketing, social media advertising, web site management, market research & analytics or a related field.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook).
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
Five years of professional full-time experience in direct marketing, market research, digital, writing, editing, print production, new media advertising and/or market research and analytics.
Prior marketing, branding, or messaging experience in higher education including, but not limited to admissions, enrollment or financial aid.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing campaigns and strategies and social media tools.
Knowledge of marketing principles and techniques including public relations.
Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
Skill in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading and conceptual design skills;
Skill in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Strong organizational skills, and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with attention to detail within deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership ability for visionary thinking, collaboration, and motivating others.
Ability to plan, coordinate and implement a strategic marketing plan.
Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget.
Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to use independent judgment and be entrusted with confidential information.
Ability to effectively manage the work of others by providing information, guidance and motivation.
Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff, faculty, students, and the community.

Essential Job Duties
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
Collaborates with University leaders to create, develop, and oversee implementation of an annual marketing and communications campaign and calendar to meet the unit’s strategic goals; develops a variety of recruitment and yield strategies to increase student enrollment and retention.
Facilitates the organization, design, and execution of segmented communications to reach a broad range of internal and external target audiences.
Consults with college content experts to ensure brand consistency; leads efforts to proactively identify and distribute stories that personify the Company experience; generates and leverages content and digital campaigns; directs associated creative work.
Manages schedules, creative development, and timely execution of projects within budget.
Administers and analyzes continuous assessment of communication and marketing initiatives, digital campaigns, recruitment activities, and iterative planning.
Leads process improvement efforts to cut costs, eliminate rush charges and increase yield from recruitment marketing.
Prepares operating budgets and performs ongoing budget analysis. Prepares and provides reports to Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management.
Serves on institutional committees representing the interests of the Enrollment Management Unit.
Provides event planning and promotion materials as needed.
Supports the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management with speech-writing and messaging for various strategic initiatives.
May supervise OPS and student employees as well as interns.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
