Our Dallas, TX location is seeking a Director who will be assigned multiple clients to lead a team to execute projects that Company is hired to perform for the Nonprofit industry. The candidate will multi-task various projects with various teams and various departments to execute unmatched client service. The candidate will be responsible for execution of the projects from planning, procedures performed, and writing of deliverables to the client including but not limited to various client meetings, internal meetings and project development. Projects could include grants management, accounting services, consulting, forecasting/projections and overall problem solving for Not-For-Profit clients as related to their financial systems, processes and records.

General responsibilities will include the following:
Work on a variety of financial, accounting and compliance projects, with a primary focus in the nonprofit industry
Overall project management, including planning, supervising, and executing consulting projects in the areas of process improvement, compliance, and financial reporting
Review and/or assist with accounting outsource services including
◦ General ledger and financial statement preparation
◦ Monthly and year-end closing assistance
◦ Account and bank reconciliations
◦ Audit preparation services
Participate and lead projects evaluating Federal and State grant compliance and other compliance with regulatory requirements
Perform operation and financial assessments of client’s grants management compliance and finance departments processes, policies, procedures, and internal controls
Assist with the development of policies and procedures
Leading engagement relationships with appropriate levels of client interaction
Performing industry and technical research for the development of new client solutions
Utilizing technology and best practices to improve internal processes for projects
Assist with new business development, growing our client relationships, qualifying leads and scoping opportunities.
Assist in managing, developing and coaching professional staff
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. Master’s degree preferred
CPA Certification or eligibility to sit for CPA exam preferred
Minimum 9 years of experience, including nonprofit specific experience
Minimum 1 year of public accounting experience required
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client projects, including monitoring project time budgets and consistently meeting or exceeding agreed upon deadlines
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Fluency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software related to the accounting function of an organization
Experience with QuickBooks and Intacct preferred
