The Director is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Consumables and Softlines category strategies along with associated product sub-categories and licensees, all with the goal of meeting or exceeding predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives. This position will lead a team of two.
Generate and execute strategic plan to drive business for Apparel, Accessories, Footwear, Home & Consumables
Work in tandem with Consumables team to ensure strategic alignment
Lead selection, contract negotiation, and day to day relationship with top licensees and ensure appropriate team management of remaining licensees
Build quarterly category forecast and yearly budgets and present to Senior Management
Monitor progress on achieving strategies and modify as necessary
Support Franchise team in creating bi-annual brand plans
Help define and integrate licensees within wider brand and marketing plans
Ensure seasonal creative strategies are sufficient to meet budget and initiative goals and objectives
Act as ambassador for categories and maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats and dynamics
Strategize and develop new business opportunities
Analyze account business performance and develop growth objectives that are aligned with Company Consumer Products initiatives
Develop and implement product strategies, merchandising and marketing plans to ensure sales are maximized and marketing objectives are met
Organize line reviews, develop retail exclusive and approves line lists for the top licensees
Prepare product presentations included but not limited to internal line reviews
Liaise with Integrated Retail and Retail Business Development teams to determine go-to market strategies and retail execution
7+ years of experience in a marketing role, with a required understanding of retail and distribution channels
Demonstrated Licensing or retail experience
Firsthand experience with marketing/product development, and developing/executing brand plans
Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
Flexible/adaptable, able to collaborate, influence and persuade at all levels of an organization
Comfortable working through a matrix structure to deliver business objectives
Proven ability to drive internal focus through visual sales tools and a compelling strategy
Open communicator and team player who shows curiosity for solution seeking
Financial acumen. Understanding of retail market place, revenues, market research, data analysis and data storytelling
3-5 years leadership experience
Bachelor degree in Business or related field
