The Information Technology team develops and maintains Company’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.
The team manages Company’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Company’s strategic imperatives.

The IT Delivery: Corporate Systems HCM/HRMS team is a fast-paced and dynamic team within the Information Technology organization. The team’s mandate is to work with Company corporate stakeholders and technology partners to deliver solutions that leverage Company’s significant investment in its strategic IT platforms in the areas of HCM/HRMS.
We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and disciplined individual to lead our team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Business Solution Architects that focus primarily on solutions leveraging SAP HCM, Success Factors Talent Solutions, and SAP Business Warehouse and Business Objects BI.
The Role:
Reporting to the Vice President, IT Delivery Company and Corporate Systems, you will be accountable for a broad portfolio of IT delivery projects within the Human Capital Management (HCM)/ Human Resources Management Systems(HRMS) work program area. This is a great opportunity for a strategic, innovative, analytical, and results oriented individual to be at the forefront of shaping the employee experience across Company.
The successful candidate will assume an influential senior leadership position in the team, and have the opportunity to work closely with partners in HR, IT delivery and support, Finance, and other related teams. You will draw upon your demonstrated experience to drive strategic change, as well as your ability to collaborate as you lead the evolution of a 3-5 year HCM/HRMS strategic roadmap.
Job duties / accountabilities:
• Continue to evolve a 3-5 year HR IT roadmap, and deliver “Best-in-Class” HCM and HRMS Corporate Systems Business and IT solutions consisting of both “on-premise” applications and on the “cloud” SaaS solutions, in collaboration with Key IT and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Human Resource organization to improve employee experience by assuming a leadership role in the creation and simplification of internal processes and systems.
• Evolve the HCM/HRMS self-serve strategies to improve digital services and ensure excellent user experiences at all digital touch points as well as deliver a flawless employee user experience.
• Play a strategic role in various initiatives and decision making processes including strategic business planning, work program planning, IT and Financial governance & approvals, key financial/performance indicator management, and staffing plans, while proactively addressing evolving business requirements and priorities.
• Lead the IT delivery organization focused on best in class delivery through optimized processes and systems capable of driving and supporting critical business objectives and timelines, including establishing, forecasting, managing and achieving all Capex/Opex financial objectives.
• Engage and influence senior leaders and executives through all project phases to ensure alignment and adoption of deliverables.
Critical Competencies:
The successful candidate should have:
• Possess at least 7 years of demonstrated experience delivering large complex IT programs and projects, through successful management of a large operational and capital budget and leading teams in a matrix environment.
• Established relationship with SAP as a vendor and possess a stronger understanding of working dynamics.
• Experience evaluating, deploying , maintaining IT Human Capital Management(HCM)/ Human Resources Management Systems(HRMS) and architecture is an asset
• Established leadership role in IT delivery for solution implementations and upgrades, for both on premise and cloud solutions.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills in order to see beyond the symptoms of a business issue, with a focus on the business or system solution.
• Superior interpersonal, listening and business relationship skills in order to cultivate and sustain strategic relationships within the organization and understand developing areas of need and opportunity.
• Proven track record in analyzing, synthesizing, interpreting and presenting financial and complex data to senior leaders and executives.
• Must possess strong project management skills and the ability to lead and inspire stakeholders and teams which will allow you to orchestrate long and short term strategic initiatives via cross functional teams with competing priorities.
• Must demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid business acumen and knows how to quickly understand the organization’s key drivers to success and make appropriate decisions in required time frames.
• Desire to learn and become familiar with new technologies; assimilate knowledge quickly and effectively.
• Self-motivated with a strong tolerance to ambiguity and change, and positive, can-do attitude.
• Working knowledge or experience leveraging various Project Management methodologies e.g. Traditional (Waterfall), ASAP, Agile, etc.
• Experience with multi-vendor environments and partnerships
• Bachelor’s Degree - Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (MBA or Master’s degree is an asset).
• Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
People Management
• Superior stakeholder management and business relationship skills in order to cultivate and sustain strategic relationships within the organization and understand developing areas of need and opportunity.
• Responsible for the management of fulltime resources and contractors setup in matrix organization located across various locations.
• Mentor, coach and support staff in their personal and professional development e.g. objective setting, performance appraisals, training plans, talent management, organization changes, salary reviews, etc.
• Provide vision, leadership, structure and communications to the team through normal exploration, project, deployment, and post deployment activities.
• Promote effective communications and working relations within the team, with IT’s customers, partners and with other solution providers and system integrators, and ensure timely, accurate, and pertinent information sharing, to enable strategic decisions aligned with integrated roadmap views.
• Ability to understand, interpret business needs and effectively negotiate and manage vendor contract relationships
Working Conditions:
• Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet hard deadlines as it relates to planning, governance, project timelines and commitments.
• Ability to efficiently work in virtual teams and to occasionally travel within Montreal and Toronto corridors
