Director, Global Paid Media, MAC
About the Job
The Global Director, Paid Media will influence and guide regional paid media strategy through sharing of global best practices, cascading of corporate tools and opportunities, and sharing of industry emerging trends. This role will lead creation of the global paid media strategy and frameworks to be shared with regions for adaptation on the local level. Strategy will be modular and scalable across regions of varying maturity and mapped against all phases of the consumer decision journey. Framework will include, but is not limited to, investment allocation guidelines, best practices, performance benchmarks and reporting expectations. This role is also responsible for brand representation at the corporate level in JBP relationships to drive M·A·C participation and create a first-mover advantage. This role will bring opportunities to the regions for execution, supporting them as needed and reporting progress to corporate and global teams. Collaboration with cross functional global marketing and creative teams is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, media agency experience required (planning, account management and operations preferred) along with strong knowledge of paid digital media landscape.
About Your Responsibilities
Create and lead the global paid media strategy for campaigns and always-on opportunities; create and distribute global frameworks for regions.
Work with cross functional global and regional teams to understand requirements and constraints to ensure flexible framework for all markets.
Create frameworks that consider all paid media channels and include those applicable, i.e. social, retargeted display, programmatic, SEM, etc.
Develop framework to include KPIs, reporting templates and schedule for optimization opportunities
Review regional reports and assist with optimization.
Facilitate sharing of best practices and learnings across the brand.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of the capabilities of digital paid media platforms; identify test and opportunities.
Foster strong relationships with all relevant platform partners to help influence product roadmaps based on specific brand needs.
Participate in the mentoring of junior team members as needed.
7+ years of experience
Superior collaboration and teamwork skills; experience working with cross-functional teams
Effective at project management and ability to re-prioritize while operating within a fast paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
Advanced skills in Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to think on your feet and talk knowledgeably about the role of social media
Positive attitude and able to work independently, as well as part of a team
Bachelor’s Degree Required
