In 2019, the Walt Company will launch Company+, a Company-branded streaming service featuring an incomparable collection of content from its brands and franchises recognized and respected all over the world. The Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) service will serve as the exclusive home for viewing original movies, series, short-form, and more, along with a vibrant catalogue that spans classic Company Animation to the most recent movie releases.

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and enthusiastic person for the position of Director, Operations Strategy. Working with the Company Streaming Services Content Operations team in Burbank and reporting to the VP of Content Operations this individual will be responsible for collaborating with teams across The Walt Company to organize and oversee our Company+ workstream and guarantee that all operations activities for Library, Marketing and Originals are timely and accurate. The Director, Operations Strategy will provide day-to-day operational support for the supply of assets, as well as coordinating lifecycle planning and program management for all content operations.
The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise on the content and marketing operations, as well as a detailed knowledge of the upstream content management systems at The Walt Company. He/She will understand the role each source system plays in the content operations value chain, and how the content and marketing assets flow through to all our products and services downstream to the media service operations team. He/She will also bring a passion for innovation and product management, capable of partnering with others to develop requirements and project managing those solutions through to successful implementations.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who can effectively collaborate and communicate at all levels of the organization, including Senior (VP-level) Product and Technology leaders at the Company.
Planning all activities related to Library and Originals, to guarantee ideal timelines across the supply chain, defining milestones for all the catalog asset prep and delivery, as well as managing the complex lifecycle of the Originals.
Coordinate reporting across all functions and maintain a constant check on all activities related to content operations.
Manage hand-offs between functions, building processes that are efficient and limit the numbers of rework and mis-delivery.
Oversee the supply chain, with a particular focus on the avails process to guarantee proper down-stream ingestion of the content.

In success, you would have stood up a process and a team that consistently delivers correct content and marketing assets to the Company+ platform – on time and without error, every time. You will have operational analytics that measures your success, transparent to all, and you will have established highly collaborative relationships with the wider Content Operations team, understanding their workflow pain points. You will have also partnered effectively with multiple product and technology teams to develop a roadmap that ensures we transform the operations and invest for improved automation and scalability, in support of our global growth ambitions for Company+.

Relevant work experience across multiple technology areas and services preferably to include content operations, sales operations, and data management
