In this role you will provide leadership to oversee development, management and execution of contract strategies for customized contract and program portfolios to meet the unique needs of each of the custom engagements. You will reduce spend, improve operational efficiencies and implement business processes, training and systems to provide a consistent infrastructure for the custom sourcing process.
Manage and lead a team of Sourcing Executives assigned to the “Resource Pool”; identify and oversee projects assigned to the Resource Pool; lead and facilitate the placement of Resource Pool team members to Member Engagements.
Create and manage a certification process to ensure Resource Pool team members are certified and ready to be assigned to new member engagement.
Develop, lead and implement New Employee Onboarding (NEO) training program for new Sourcing Executives with the Strategic Sourcing Partnerships and Programs organization; serve as the primary training consultant.
Manage and provide guidance to Sourcing Executives and/or Associate Sourcing Executives on negotiation strategies and techniques to support Event-Based custom agreement portfolios.
Establish and maintain relationships with member hospital executives, Company stakeholders, and suppliers. Manage all aspects of a member's custom agreement portfolio and custom team’s work allocation.
Lead the identification, strategy, contract development, negotiations, documentation, and implementation of supply chain strategic sourcing processes.
Identify and address current and future member hospital organization needs.
Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new custom sourcing engagements.
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of departmental objectives.
Relevant degree preferred.
7 or more years contract negotiations and management experience required.
Experience in healthcare supply cost management, contracting and coordination of multiple key relationships preferred.
Ability to coach and support others through leadership and collaborative partnership skills.
Strong negotiation skills and proven success in complex negotiations.
Proven ability in operational planning.
Experience in developing customized solutions for large complex organizations with suppliers using consultative skills.
Ability to excel, lead, and influence in a matrix environment.
Strong relationship building and strategic partnering skills.
Proven experience as a change agent.
Willingness to travel.
