Overview
Company, Inc., the world's leading retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel, is seeking a dynamic, innovative and hands-on Director of Benefits Delivery. This individual will provide expertise and top-notch leadership in benefits delivery while ensuring that the team flawlessly executes the company’s North America Total Rewards benefits – health care, disability, life, pension, 401(k) and stock purchase plans. This individual will make an impact by supporting the day-to-day delivery of the US and Canadian benefit plans by leading projects, process improvements, metrics and ensuring high touch associate experiences. This role leads a team of fourteen and collaborates with other team members and departments to successfully execute our Total Rewards strategy.
Responsibilities
• Lead delivery and execution of high quality benefits programs
• Develop and implement strategic goals for the department - two Benefit Managers who oversee the work of twelve other team members
• Drive efficiencies and process improvements, including process design, documentation and training
• Manage department’s workflow ensuring workloads are balanced and coordinate/adjust assignments to meet deadlines
• Oversee day-to-day efficient administration of Health and Welfare plans which are administered in-house utilizing PeopleSoft including call center support
• Responsible for achieving high levels of quality service and evaluating/reporting on quality and service controls within team
• Ensure team members are managing 401(k) and pension outsource vendors
• Develop and analyze key metrics for plans and review/consolidate current metric reports with stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, local and federal regulations and keeping procedures up to date
• Responsible for self service HRMS table and control updates during Annual Enrollment and throughout the year as new plans are implemented and benefit and compensation laws are passed
• Partner closely with HRBPs, IS&T, Legal, Payroll and other members of the Total Rewards team to provide hands-on support establishing credibility based on knowledge and experience with strategic
• initiatives, delivery and special projects
• Manage multiple projects through the full project life cycle including analyzing and determining the most effective solutions to sustain our Total Rewards strategy while collaborating with stakeholders
• Maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise in benefits compliance and delivery services
• Contribute to communications regarding benefit plan documents, policies, procedures and summary plan descriptions
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of hands-on work experience in all aspects of benefits administration (HRMS, process improvement, compliance, reporting)
• Proven ability to lead team, create a sense of accountability and promote team environment
• Process and results oriented possessing strong analytical skills, be hands-on and willing to work at the tactical and strategic levels
• Proven technical experience successfully managing multiple team projects simultaneously and producing quality deliverables on time
• Passion for analyzing processes, solving problems and sharing solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Familiar with DOL, IRS, HIPAA and ERISA regulations governing benefit plans
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus
