The primary purpose of this position is to enable the Enterprise with the ability to get closer to accessing and understanding their data and how it interrelates across functions, geographies, affiliates and capabilities. This is a new area to the organization – and as such, the candidate must possess critical leadership skills to navigate the organizations needs in an efficient way while bringing along their customers, partners and peers. The Analytical Data Management role is critical as we further exploit our ability to be a data driven, creativity inspired organization.
This role interacts with the Enterprise Data team, the supporting IT partners, all customers in functions, geographies, affiliates and capabilities. This role will be responsible to establish, enforce, enable and govern the Enterprise version of truth.
Data expertise, delivery of information systems, data governance, and levering technology to join up internal data as well as external data – with specific focus on Master Data initially – are critical components of this role.
This role requires a deep strength in understanding user requirements, needs, objectives and working methods in order to design optimal data structures that will deliver benefits in how to the user consumes the data and how it is used in dashboards and analytics to drive value.
The individual in this role must be highly flexible and adaptable to the evolution of this capability at Company -focus and attention may have to shift across special projects as the business needs change.
60% Problem Solving
•Partners with Project teammates and customers to quickly assess their information needs and their target delivery, ensuring deep understanding of the business requirement & problems that require solutioning through data association & delivery.
•Conducts Analytical solutions – providing insight to colleagues that require coaching and learning to deliver the best possible solution leveraging information architecture
40% Decision Making
•Prepare the linkage of layers of capability across technology, data, applications, information and business in all special focus projects
•Clarify the data into simple easy to use associations that enable business analysis
•Manage the structure, models and maps of information that enables others to find knowledge and insight
•Support and champion hierarchy capability evolution – with a specialty to enabling external & big data analysis
•5+ years of strong technical & analytical skills backed up by deep knowledge of functional processes and how data impacts the results from those processes.
•Deep knowledge of data structures, data relationships, hierarchies, information-based decision analysis, analytics, technical delivery and the interrelationship of these concepts with data governance is a must.
•Ability to will transform difficult, manual processes into simple, re-usable and full value contributing work processes.
