Core to Eurosport’s strategy for engaging our Sports audience is creating authentic, intuitive, and delightful digital products. This role is key to delivering against our strategy.
As Acqusition Marketing Director, Eurosport Digital, reporting to the VP Marketing this person will sit in the ES Digital leadership team and will drive the marketing acquisition plans for Eurosport Player for different markets across Europe.
Responsibilities:
• Build, develop and lead the acquisition marketing team.
• Develop and execute the acquisition marketing strategy across Europe, working closely with regional commercial teams and marketing agencies.
• Responsible for performance marketing and driving growth from all offline and digital channels as well as owned media.
• Design and manage monthly, quarterly and annual acquisition plans with clear trading KPIs, catering also for mitigation activity when necessary.
• Drive first time users to the website and/or mobile app at highly efficient CPAs.
• Build prospect segmentation, set up insight pipeline and use data and A/B testing optimisation to improve customer acquisition costs and conversion rates.
• Manage the performance marketing agency and media shop, ensuring they’re using a data-driven and fully measurable approach.
• Own the marketing budget and be accountable for performance, reporting regularly with metrics.
• Work closely with the Product team to assist in prioritising strategic direction and feature/product priorities, while listening and understanding customers' needs.
Requirements:
◦ Degree level or above ideally in marketing related field
◦ Passion for all forms of Sports entertainment, digital distribution and the implementation of new business / digital models.
◦ Extensive experience leading a B2C Performance / Acquisition Marketing function ideally at a subscription service / e-commerce environment.
◦ Proven track record in building and growing a team.
◦ Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.
◦ Experience in online marketing channels such as AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, SEO, ASO, PPC, influencer marketing.
◦ Strong analytical skills with Excel and other tools such as Tableau, MixPanel, Google Analytics.
◦ Extensive familiarity with using customer segmentation and data, test, target and measure marketing campaigns and advanced, innovative digital strategies.
◦ Acts to surpass goals, seizing opportunities to push the envelope.
◦ Translates business goals into a well-defined performance plan and communicates link between current activities and goals.
◦ Spends times identifying all stakeholders necessary and connects with all of them, to shape a collective buy-in and further push the marketing agenda.
◦ Identifies opportunities to build relationships that will help others achieve their objectives and reaches out to those people.
Key Relationships
The role will be an integral member of the Marketing as well as the wider ES Digital team and be responsible for leading the work to drive ES Digital acquisition and growth plans.
Other Key Relationships
Work with marketing, regional commercial, product, PR, finance, legal, operations and agencies to ensure marketing and commercial plans are communicated and executed as well as to drive awareness of the results across the wider business
