The Deputy Clerk (Grade 9) is assigned operational responsibilities and ensures court’s instructions are executed and legal papers are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enter case filings into an automated Case Management System ranging from case initiation to finalization of cases including filing; process correspondence and court forms; docket preparation; provide in-court support on assigned days; assess fines and costs; receipt financial transactions and conduct cash reconciliation; provide information by phone and in person to the public, attorneys and supporting agencies; and other duties assigned by management. Close out the cash register daily. Must be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management. This position is back up for the clerk in her absence.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Most competitive applicants will have a knowledge of the court system, able to balance priorities in a busy office experience, familiar with Microsoft Office products including data entry experience, customer service skills, attention to detail. Applicants should be highly organized and possess significant knowledge, skills, and abilities in personal time management, independent thinking, and problem solving. Reliable attendance, teamwork and customer service skills are required. Court experience is preferred.
