The Global Transaction Services (GTS) group at Company Merrill Lynch offers treasury and cash management services to corporate clients around the world.
The Data Senior Product Manager will be responsible for driving innovative improvements in how the Global Transaction Services (GTS) business accesses, moves, and blends data to deliver high quality dashboards and regulatory reporting. This includes sourcing data from multiple locations, developing data views, developing KPIs and metrics, performance tuning and testing. The Data Senior Product Manager will work with data stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives, and identify and use appropriate tools and techniques needed to source data from across the enterprise to develop data solutions.
Must be able to understand the business vision and engage with GTS data scientists, product management, and technology partners. A key part of this role is being able to understand and develop business thesis for analytics use cases, and have the technical skills to execute analytics use cases from end to end.
Provide direction to data engineering and data visualization analysts and associates
Provides direction to technology on the execution/build-out of GTS data platform strategy
7+ years’ experience and knowledge of Transaction Banking products and/or applications (deposits and liquidity, payments, receivables, commercial cards, trade and merchant services).
10+ years of experience with relational data structures and data movement technologies (ETL)
10+ years of experience leading the design and delivery of analytics use cases
Demonstrated functional and experience with enterprise databases, data sourcing techniques, performance tuning, data blending tools and analytics architectures
Experienced development skills working in SQLServer, RapidDB, Oracle, Teradata
Experience working with Alteryx, Python, R, SAS
Project Management and communication skills in a matrixed organization
Communication of business and architectural concepts/designs in a business-friendly fashion.
Bachelor’s Degree required, or deep related career expertise.
Understanding and mastery of BI tools such Microstrategy and Tableau
