This position coordinates the Clinical Education curriculum through the management of curricular tools, processes, materials and events, for students enrolled in Years I through IV at Company.
1. In collaboration with the Clinical Education Curriculum Manager and Director of Clinical Education, assists in the continuous quality improvement of the Year III and IV curriculum by assessing, researching, planning and implementing curricular tools and processes. This includes acting as the curricular webmaster, updating class syllabi and the Student Clinical Manual, monitoring COMSAE Level 2CE administration, evaluation appeals, and assisting with the Health Care Management Clerkship.
2. Coordinates instructional materials and academic schedules to ensure compliance with college policies within the structure of a distributed clinical education system located throughout the state of Company. Organizes and implements the didactic curriculum and rotation management for clinical education that includes supporting Discipline Directors. Works with Company staff to gather, enter, analyze and evaluate data to use for reporting and programming such as annual rotation and clinical/community experience capacity.
3. Maintain curricular standards to assure continued college accreditation and to align Year III and IV curriculum with the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) standards and other duties as assigned and needed.
4. Plan and coordinate student and staff communication to assist with consistency and thoroughness in clinical curriculum standards and all site events that include Annual Site Visits, staff training, Orientation to Clinical Education, Company Clinical Education Site Assignment Process (HC-CESAP), Residency Match Day logistics and communications.
Bachelor’s degree: Higher Education (Administration, Curriculum or closely related Higher Education Degree) or Business Administration (Management, Operations, or closely related Business Administration degree) or Health Care Administration or Communication (Organizational Communications, Business Communications, Public Relations or Event Planning)
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the bachelor’s degree requirement.
1-2 years or work experience
Ability to travel to training, site visits and occasional evening or weekend events.
Knowledge of data analysis and curriculum management software; ability to learn and effectively use software from various vendors to mine data and analyze information.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to set priorities and meet deadlines while balancing multiple projects simultaneously; proficiency in computer applications; ability to work as a team member; demonstrated ability to take initiative; excellent organizational skills and ability to interact professionally with administration, faculty, staff and students.
The usual schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm but occasional evenings and weekends are expected.
