Review credit applications and make credit decisions that make sound business sense based on following company policies, procedures and guidelines. Communicate credit decisions and solicit business with dealership personnel.
work schedule will be 2 evenings per week and rotating Saturdays
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Review credit applications in a timely and consistent manner.
2. Make credit decisions by following all policies, procedures and guidelines set forth by the company. In addition, document all exceptions to company standards.
3. Follow-up on approved or conditioned credit decisions and document conversations with dealership personnel in Company website.
4. Achieve volume goals assigned to branch, as well as individual goals.
5. Upload, document and complete stipulations on approved credit decisions.
6. Call dealerships on a consistent basis to solicit business by establishing strong relationships with dealership personnel and upholding our value promise.
7. Visit dealers with Relationship Managers in the various markets to build relationships with them and their dealers.
8. Review all early payment defaults and document findings. In addition, follow-up with dealership personnel on any fraudulent items (e.g. straw purchases, missing options).
9. Assist in training less experienced credit underwriting staff.
10. Assist the Loan Administrators in completing the funding process on approved applications.
11. Provide a high level of customer service to customers and clients in support of our Perfect Client Experience (PCE) initiatives.
12. Maintain application approval rates at an acceptable level as set by corporate standard.
13. Call dealerships to resolve titles problems, unrebated products or other dealer issues.
Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2. Three years of industry related experience
3. Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
4. Interpersonal skills to build dealer and customer relations
5. Excellent communication skills to be able to relate to dealership and office personnel
6. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
7. Ability to work independently during periods of limited supervision
8. Ability to work weekends and evenings
9. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
10. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

1. Proficient at calculating numerous formulas and ratios
2. Knowledge of all facets of automotive industry
3. Marketing skills
4. Bilingual
