Job Title:Credit Analyst
Location:Carmel Valley
What you'll do:The Credit Analyst is responsible for spreading, managing and maintaining financial background information on present and prospective customers, and assists with underwriting analysis for the Relationship Managers. Position includes managing spread assignments, making financial analyses, and maintaining related records and files. The incumbent is also responsible for the preparation of a variety of credit department reports as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- Analyzes credit and collateral information to determine risk involved in lending money to customers.
- Collects, organizes, analyzes company financials to ensure Bank compliance, and updates the Bank’s systems accordingly.
- Works directly with clients to resolve compliance issues and operational inquiries.
- Reviews client financials and performs sensitivity analysis to evaluate credit risk in connection with Bank structures.
- Prepares in-depth reports providing plans of action based on qualitative and quantitative research.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Bank groups to execute treasury management products, foreign exchange instruments, derivatives as well as legal documents.
- Produces loan packages for new and restructured loans.
- Facilitates reporting and requests on behalf of the Bank with third parties, e.g. field auditors, appraisers, etc.
- Monitors loan disbursements to ensure compliance with Bank regulations.
- May conduct lien searches and other research.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting, or related field.
- 1 year of related experience for Credit Analyst or 4 or more years related experience for Senior Credit Analyst.
- Familiarity with financial statements and ability to analyze business and financial data.
- Proficient in the use of personal computers and software programs, such as excel and word.
- Familiar with financial analysis and development of spreadsheets. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
