Company’s San Francisco studio, an award-winning, international design practice, is seeking a Creative Director with 15+ years experience with exceptional design skills and a portfolio of innovative design solutions with an emphasis on workplace projects.
We are looking for a talented Creative Director to help build our workplace expertise.
Creative Directors are project-focused practitioners who have deep knowledge and experience and are charged to build our portfolio of work through thought leadership, cultivating strategic client relationships, and mentoring and growing talent. We expect these leaders to be just as adept at business development and building a book of business. Working collaboratively with others within the offices in the region and Company network, Creative Directors shape how we do the work, lead the dialogue on design innovation, and help nurture the next generation of design professionals.
What You Will Do
Based in San Francisco, grow our workplace practice in the Northwest region through expanding existing client relationships and developing new lines of work.
Strengthen our market reputation and image through thought leadership that is based on value proposition and POV. Advance our reputation through conference presentations, authoring publications and active social media presence.
Assist in developing novel content with our marketing, communications and public relations teams. Provide vision for proposals and strategy for interviews to secure project opportunities.
Collaborate with design teams to deliver informed project solutions based on market expertise and deep understanding of client goals.
Work closely with office and studio leaders to identify and recruit best-in-class talent.
Partner with office directors to establish budgetary framework and investment strategies for practice area.
Organize internal team of fellow practitioners within region to help increase reach and influence of group.
Must be an expert in developing relationships with new and existing clients and have a deep understanding of the Company portfolio.
Proven ability to build a book of business and to deliver on large-scale, programmatically complex workplace projects.
Connected and well-regarded within the community and active in industry organizations.
Adept at storytelling, engaging as a communicator and inspiring with an energetic personality. Possess strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate ideas in interviews and other presentations.
Skilled at developing and motivating teams of people both internally and externally. Versatile, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial.
LEED accredited. Committed to the principles of sustainable design and resilient communities.
15+ years’ professional experience including proven track record of leading the design of innovative architecture projects
Advanced degree in Architecture or Design preferred with a rigorous design education
Must be a licensed Architect, certified Interior Designer, or equivalent
