The Company This Morning Coordinating Producer (Digital) is responsible for ensuring Company This Morning reaches the largest possible digital audience.
Working closely with the broadcast and digital teams and the homepage editors, the CP (Digital) strategizes on how to dramatically extend the reach of our broadcast brand content by identifying highly resonant moments on our air and making our digital channels a home for the best in Company News' political analysis.
You'll work with producers to identify the key moments from our broadcast footage that are likely to resonate with online audiences
You'll work with the Growth & Engagement, Search, Company News Digital & social teams to strategize on what treatment and roll-out will help elevate those moments on each platform
You'll take a lead in coordinating with digital teams (Growth and Engagement, CBSN, Company website) on what Company This Morning content will be available and when
You'll write text stories and clip moments from air using our proprietary in-house tools, and write headlines for text and video in collaboration with our social and SEO teams
You'll liaise with the head of social for best practice and strategy.
Company News has multiple digital audiences with a diverse range of characteristics. You'll develop a deep understanding of what resonates with each group and find stories that connect with them.
Your work will appear on Company website, on our social accounts, on CBSN and via OTT platforms.
Start time will be 5:00 AM Tuesday - Saturday
What you bring to the team:
You have -
BA in Journalism or equivalent journalism degree
3-5 years newsroom experience
Demonstrable news writing skills and an ability to edit video
You are a good writer with a keen eye for the shareable moment in any piece of reportage and the key line in a script that is likely to resonate specifically with online audiences.
You're curious about how audiences behave, react to footage and how to reach them - we'll equip you with the tools to understand how Company News content performs across the board, and you'll help broadcast teams understand what's catching fire online.
You're a web-native news fanatic who is able to work confidently across teams in a fast-paced news environment.
You're collaborative and opportunistic - you love to see good work soar and want to help everyone in our organization succeed at every opportunity
