Company is changing the way content partners (broadcasters, actors, musicians, TV hosts, and many other high-profile performers) connect with their audiences and share their craft. The Company LatAm Content Partnerships team is looking for a driven, creative, resourceful individual to join us in developing the strategies and best practices that will drive the next generation of entertainment content on Company. The position is based in Mexico City and the scope entails all major markets in SPLatAm.
As the Partner Manager, Entertainment, on the Global Content Partnerships team at Company, you will be tasked w/ working w/in your vertical/s on ensuring that we consistently over-deliver on all of our partnership goals (deal volume, revenue and product adoption goals) when it comes to helping Content Creators and Media Companies understand, grow and monetize their audience.
Some key areas of focus will be identifying the right partners and negotiating the right partnerships and deals to ensure we are bringing the best content to Company and the largest audience to that content, earning both Company and our partners incremental revenue. This will entail:
• Managing Company’s Amplify relationship with major television networks, rights owners, sports leagues, video platforms, and other media and technology companies.
• Creating new revenue for Company and its partners.
• Establishing seamless and effective cross-platform packages for advertisers in concert with Company partners.
• Developing scalable business and metrics models for all of the above.
• Deal development and negotiation, including coordinating with multiple cross-function teams (product, engineering, sales, communications, brand strategy, marketing, and legal) across Company.
• Being the first point of contact for all brand-related programs with counterparts at Company's partners.
• Working with Sales Marketing and Communications to develop Company Amplify in Latin America.
• Working with and training Company partners' sales forces.
• Assisting Company Sales in pitches to and ongoing relationships with brands
• Serving as the day-to-day-conduit for certain partners, ensuring that throughout our contractual relationships w/ our customers, all of our commitments are met (content volume commitment, sales fulfillment, geo restrictions, etc.).
• Maximize reach for the main managed partners in the regions.
• Develop innovative and creative content plays that can scale globally.
You will partner w/ the Head of Entertainment, LatAm, in planning the strategy for your vertical in your country and in ensuring alignment when it comes to priorities of driving revenue growth and audience for our top partners. Once this strategy is set from a global and regional perspective, you will customize and craft it to fit your country. This means strategically prioritizing partnerships with the right Content Creators and Media Companies. What content is in demand with our sales team? How can you partner with both sales and the other teams in your market to ensure we have an even amount of content from the right partners? And, how can you work w/ partnership teams to guarantee a successful outcome for our external customers?
Time Breakdown:
• 50%: Customers: You are not sitting inside in an office all day. We do not even have offices! You are out in front of customers, leveraging the relationships that you have built in your career.
• 30% Internal Partnership: You need to bring information from other markets to your region and from your region to other markets. This means staying ahead of new programs and launches and also sharing wins and setbacks from programs launched in your market. We will be working with sales, legal, finance, marketing, etc., and you will need to be a cross functional partner. You will be working w/ other teams when driving Amplify partnerships such as the live, marketing, comms, legal, finance and accounting teams.
• 20%: Team. You may be managing some associate partner managers, helping them prioritize their time across partners, regions and verticals.
Skills/Experience Required:
• Min 8-10 years experience in the Media and/or Entertainment business(es)
• Experience in negotiating commercial agreements
• Experience in content licensing a plus
• Ability to leverage contacts in the relevant vertical
